What is day?
What is night?
A veil lifted, a veil drawn.
Are they apart?
Or are they one?
They reach for each other,
slipping between shadow and light,
touching, holding, letting go—
never lost, never alone.
The sun does not leave the night behind,
nor does the night turn away.
They meet in quiet places,
fold into each other’s arms,
one fading, the other rising—
not in parting, but in promise.
So are we.
Separate, yet always near.
Two notes in the same song,
two waves in the same sea.
What is shadow?
What is light?
Does the river resist the ocean?
Does the breath belong to the body,
or to the Infinite?
We return, again and again—
like moonlight drawn to the tide,
like dawn leaning into night.
The horizon shivers but never breaks,
the wind carries a secret name.
Between here and there,
between now and forever,
we are—
held in the unseen embrace,
never apart, never alone.
